2. Plank to strengthen your core
It’s fairly simple and can be super effective for strengthening the core.
Planks are an ideal exercise for the abdominal muscles exactly because they engage all major core muscle groups. You will strengthen your posture, balance and become more flexible. Do this once a day for as long as you can to see a difference in your body.
Bonus Tip. Don’t forget to stretch; those giant exercise balls make for a nice, supportive back-bend!
3. GET MOVING – whatever you do keep active
Whether its shopping, activities with family, or sitting and watching a movie while doing sit-ups; keep active and continue to move.
When your normal work out routine or gym time is cut in half due to holiday plans, use the limited time you have to keep your heart rate up.
Think about the extra work you are putting in over the holidays, from hours on your feet cooking, to bringing down boxes of decorations from the attic. Those activities count too!

1.Focus on protein and veggies
The holidays are a whirlwind of parties and happy hours. Every event may seem like an excuse to splurge, but the consequence just might be the worst kind of post-party affliction: a food hangover!
Try to stick to the basics that will keep your energy up with finger food veggies and high protein. Eat slower and not too late, this will help you stay focused and remain fit.
2. Ditch the sauce, sprinkle almonds instead
If the only way you can enjoy a salad is by drenching it in a cup of dressing, then you may not be getting all of the benefits from ‘eating a salad’ that you had intended.
A great alternative is to add nuts, dried fruit or seeds. This adds a bit of crunch and keeps from adding on the calories you don’t want.
