It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Family, food, and amazing deals at every turn. It’s the biggest online shopping day of the year! Cyber Monday originated in 2005 when retailers realized that consumers, back at work after the Thanksgiving (and Black Friday) holiday, continued to search for online deals from their desks.

While Black Friday is generally targeted towards technology and electronics, Cyber Monday now extends into fashion, shoes and of course — beauty products!

Here are a few of our top online shopping tips that will help you get the best deals, safely, during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping frenzies!

Opt-In to Emails

Considering that Cyber Monday is all about online shopping, it’s crucial to make sure you’re subscribed to all your favorite retailers’ and brands’ email lists to ensure you get their best deals!

Plus, most brands have an opt-in offer for new subscribers, so you might be able to get an additional percentage off as a newbie!

Utilize Mobile Apps

If you’re stuck at work on Cyber Monday and don’t want to shop on your company computer, never fear — more and more retailers now have mobile apps where you can browse, create wish lists, and of course purchase items at an amazing discount all from your cell phone! Your boss will never know that you completed your holiday shopping in-between meetings!

Google Is Your BFF

Before you hit checkout, do a quick Google search for coupon and discount codes to make sure there aren’t any additional deals you might be missing!

Websites like aggregate thousands of offers that aren’t always advertised to the public and can save shoppers money!

It’s also a great way to find out about free shipping offers or free gifts, and only takes about 30 seconds.

Secret Pinterest Boards

Holiday shopping for everyone on your list (plus a few treats for yourself, of course!) can be time-consuming.

Instead of spending hours aimlessly walking around the mall, use Pinterest’s Secret boards to keep yourself organized and on track! You can create dedicated boards for each person you’re shopping for and can easily save the items you’re interested in to keep track of any sales or discounts! To get started, check out the NuFACE Pinterest profile for some fun ideas!

Gift Guides

The Internet is flooded with Holiday Shopping Gift Guides this time of year, and it’s for good reason — they are a great way to quickly find gift ideas for all of your loved ones; at any price point.

There are gift guides for beauty junkies, foodies, men, kids, pets… you name it, you can find a gift guide for it! We love this gift guide by Harper’s Bazaar!

Focus, Focus, Focus

Grab a coffee, put your headphones in and power up your laptop — it’s time to shop!

One of our favorite online shopping tips is to truly set aside time to focus on the task at hand. When you’re distracted, it’s easy to overspend, so stepping back and taking a methodical approach to your holiday shopping will benefit not only your sanity but also your bank account!

Stick with Trusted Websites and Brands

When browsing online this holiday season, stick to well-known brands and websites you trust! These websites will have established security measures in place so you can get your holiday shopping done safely! Keep an eye out for security badges like these in the checkout process!

The ‘s’ in “https” stands for secure, so always check the URL of sites you’re browsing to make sure it’s there before sharing any personal information, like your credit card. You should also keep an eye out for the little padlock symbol at the start of the URL as a sign that you’re shopping on a secure website.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. Come back on Monday to see even more cyber Monday deals!
